Virtual Tours and Online Viewings of Costa del Sol New-Build

This page is for buyers who cannot travel yet, or who want to narrow things down before they fly out. You will learn exactly how an online viewing works with us, and what you can honestly see when a home is not built yet. Simple, clear, and no pressure.

Quick summary: An online viewing is just a video call, on WhatsApp or Google Meet. We go through a project with you in two common ways: we share our screen and walk you through everything ourselves, or we go to the developer's sales office and call you from there, so you can see their materials and ask the sales team directly. For off-plan there is usually no finished home to walk through, so we are honest about what you can and cannot see, and we can send you real drone footage of the area. There is never any pressure.

It is the same as a viewing trip, just online

An online viewing follows the same idea as a day on the ground. The only difference is that you are not here, so we bring the project to you. You do not need any special software. We keep it to two simple options:

  • WhatsApp, the easiest for most buyers.
  • Google Meet, if you prefer a link in your browser.

You just join the call, and we handle the rest.

The two ways an online viewing runs

How we run the call depends on the project and on what you want. There are two common setups:

  • A guided screen-share with your advisor. We share our screen and take you through the whole project: the location on the map, the renders, the floor plans with real measurements, the finishes, and the price list. We explain each part in plain English as we go.
  • A live call from the developer's office. We go to the developer's sales office and call you from there. That way we can show you their materials in person and put your questions straight to the sales team, while your advisor runs the call and explains everything.

One honest point. The quality of these sales representatives differs a lot from project to project. Some know every detail. Others only know what is in the brochure. Where a rep falls short, we get the real answers from the developer for you. You always stay with one trusted advisor through the whole call, so you are never handed around.

Being honest about off-plan: what you can and cannot see

This is where we are more honest than most. With a brand-new development, there is usually no finished home yet. So we cannot walk you through real rooms, and we cannot show you the true size of a space or the view out of a window. It simply does not exist yet, and we will not pretend otherwise.

A show flat is the exception, not the rule:

  • On a just-launched project, a show home often does not exist for a year or more.
  • Sometimes one is ready earlier, but you cannot rely on it.
  • If a show flat does exist, we will absolutely use it, and then you can get a real feel for the space and the finish quality.

What we genuinely can show you online, even before a brick is laid:

  • The location and surroundings, on a map and in person through our own footage.
  • The renders, so you can see the design (and a 3D model on the projects that have one).
  • The floor plans with real measurements, so you can judge the layout properly.
  • The finishes and materials, where the developer has samples ready.
  • The price list and what is still available.
  • The orientation of each unit, which matters more than people expect.
Bonus tip: We have a drone. So instead of trusting a polished render, ask us for drone footage of the actual plot and the area around it. It gives you a real sense of the views, the surroundings, and what your home will look out onto. That is far more honest than any marketing video.

Choosing the right unit, even from your sofa

Picking the right unit is just as important online as in person, and it is easy to get wrong from a render. We assess the same things we would on the ground: the orientation, the noise, the surrounding plots, future construction and your view. We also weigh up the bigger picture that protects your money, like the resale value, the rental potential, whether the price is fair for what you get, and the monthly running costs.

We read all of this from the floor plans, the price list and our knowledge of the area, then tell you honestly which unit is the smart choice. The more we talk, the better we learn your plans, so we point you to the right unit, not just any unit.

No pressure online either

Just like on the ground, we never push you to drop a deposit. We will honestly tell you if a strong unit was just released and is moving fast, but that is information, not a sales tactic. If you would rather wait, think it over, or save a little more for something better, that is completely fine.

How far you take it online is up to you

Every buyer uses online viewings differently, and we have no expectations either way. We simply follow your lead. Some of the common paths are:

  • Shortlist online, then visit. The most common path. You use online viewings to narrow things down, then come to the Costa del Sol to see your favourites in person.
  • Buy fully online. Some buyers pick and reserve a unit without ever visiting. It happens more often than you would think, especially with a developer we know and trust.
  • You already know the area. If you have been to the Costa del Sol several times and know it well, you may be happy to choose online without another trip.
  • Reserve online, then confirm in person. Some buyers send a reservation deposit on a unit they love, then fly out to confirm. If you decide it is not for you, the developer can often return the deposit.

If you do fall in love with a unit online, here is how it usually works. First, you speak with an independent lawyer, who we can introduce you to, so your money is protected before anything moves. Then you can send a reservation deposit to hold the unit. After that, you come to confirm in person, or you decide none of the homes were right and we simply continue the search. Your lawyer checks the exact refund terms first, so you always know where you stand. There is no single path here, and no pressure. We fit around what suits you.

Found a property elsewhere? Send it to us first

You do not only have to look at what we show you. If you find a property anywhere, on Idealista, another portal, or an agency's own website, send it straight to us. We will give you our honest opinion: whether the listing is real, why the home is good, and why it might not be. Because we are independent and reach the whole Costa del Sol market, we can usually represent you on it too, at no cost to you.

But first, one mistake you must avoid.

Warning: Never contact a developer directly, not even for basic information. The moment you register on a developer's website, or send them an enquiry, that developer claims you as their own lead. After that, no independent advisor is allowed to represent you. You lose your free expert and have to go through the whole purchase alone. Buyers do this by accident all the time, just by filling in a form to download a brochure. So always send the project to us first, and let us make the first contact for you.

Conclusion

An online viewing with Spain Developments is a relaxed video call on WhatsApp or Google Meet, where we show you everything that genuinely exists, explain it honestly, and send you real drone footage of the area. We are clear about what you cannot see in off-plan, we help you choose the right unit, and we never pressure you. When you are ready, message your advisor to set one up. And remember, send us any project you find rather than contacting the developer yourself.
